Young people’s point of view

Le groupe de jeunes au Vanuatu

Max

It was a real experience; it was well worth the trip from Germany! The welcome I got in Vaunatu was amazing, everyone was so friendly... I really could not believe how people were so friendly without knowing me. I guess I just was not used to that frame of mind. I suppose it is all based on trust, something which most people seem to somehow have lost in Western society.

It took me a moment to adjust, since I usually 'Look the cat out of the tree', as we say in Dutch, meaning roughly looking what happens and only when you know, you do it. This trip has given me more reason to trust myself and others and also to trust my life into what it will evolve. The trust I had from everyone was astounding; it has given me a boost in joy to know there are still people out there who trust and can be trusted. I will always think of this trip as a highlight of my life and I would like to thank everyone for what they did, you all have a place in my heart.

My hello and kisses to each and every one of you that came to the camping in Vanuatu.

It has been a great pleasure to know each one of you.

The camping has enabled me to play and enjoy myself like I've never been.

I thank everyone who organized this camping which has given me chance to meet lots of people that have golden heart.

It was really nice to see all the links of friendships that grown so quickly during the camping.

I have really appreciated the exchange of friendship and I would like to have this kind of camping in future.

Big hugsss........to all and see you all at the next gathering.

This trip allowed me to appreciate how lucky I am in life. Being able to do all the things we did was a blessing. I didn't want to leave because I felt so much a part of the country. I will definitely be going back. It was the most amazing trip ever. Even though there was no surf.

I just want to express my deep thanks to the Vanuatu people for their hospitality. It has to be one of the best holidays I have ever been on, despite the wind and rain. This trip gave me an insight into the way life of the people in Vanuatu and the experiences that I had while I was away from home will stay with me forever.

Vanuatu – it's a brilliant country even though the living conditions and governments status are poor. I will never forget the loving kindness of everybody in Vanuatu and will miss everybody greatly.

To all the Vanuatu people: see you when I come back!
